After 16 days....

Yeah, well I’m in Italia since September 4th and I think I should maybe do a post. So here it is.
Life is so different but so similar at the same time. You have people that drive in a really crazy way, people are a lot (even too much) on Facebook, and I could go like this for years, but I won't and I don't want to. But for me the difficult thing is the eating part. Not that I don't eat too much, because my nonna (grand-mother) here thinks that I don't eat enough and my nonno (and yes its grand-father) told me that the man that will marry me will be happy because I won't cost a lot of money for food. Ahaha. But People eat when they wake up, what is normal. So example of a typical day (for me): Breakfast at about 9h30-10h, Lunch between 12h30 and 2h and then supper at 7h30-8h. The supper is so odd for me. I usually eat a max 6h. Oh, and they put oil everywhere! It's crazy! In pasta they add oil (because there's already oil), in salad they put too much and blablabla

La mia casa. I think my house is really nice! I have e really nice view of San Marino every time I go out of the house! There's a lot of zanzare (Mosquitoes). Seriously, when I left Canada I was like: yess, no more zanzare. But I Italian Zazanre love me like crazy. And in my house, there's not mosquito net in the windows! And there's this little green bugs that I was told not to kill because they stink once dead! I think I flush almost 4 now! ahaha

Stop talking about the negative! So, I remember my first day, got out of the airport (without passing customs, because the airport didn't have some) and I see my counselor and my host dad. On my way to my new home, 1h20 away from the airport. The view was amazing! When I arrived, I learned that I have a dog! And then, my first Italian meal : PASTA! Home made pasta! It was good, I didn't really like the wine, but the cheese, the meats, the pasta, wow! After a little nap, because I haven't slept in36 hours my host mom asked me if I wanted to go to the mare(sea), who was I to say no? So at the sea I was. Then we stopped at the house or the grand-parents, to then my 2nd Italian meal: PIZZA! It was so goooooood!

We all now ice cream, we take it from the freezer, but in a bowl or go at an ice cream shop and eat it and it's so good. For people that love ice cream, you would die to have a real Italian Gelato! It is so good, you can't even imagine.
It's not too sweet nor to bitter! It’s perfect! And you have all the choices in your face, it's so hard to choose only 2 or 3 flavours!

All this to tell that ITALIA is amazing! I'm in love with this country!
I hope a good stay to everybody that's on the exchange!
